GLENBOWDENE ROUGH COLLIES WOULD LIKE TO
WELCOME YOU TO THEIR WEBSITE
The Kennel Name of Glenbowdene Rough Collies was derived from the first three dogs we had Glen the tri colour dog, bow our first bitch, and Dene the very first Rough Collie.
Our love affair started with the Rough Collies over 35 years ago, when we acquired a rescued rough collie in 1969. After a lot of patience in getting him to be comfortable amongst strangers we were persuaded to show him, and so we entered him into a local show in February 1970. Then we purchased a Tri colour rough collie dog, which was a son of Royal Ace of Rokeby and we started attending Championship Shows.
It was at one of these Championship shows that we saw Sandra Wigglesworth from the famous Sandiacre Kennel showing one of her bitches, and we decided there and then that this was the kennel we wanted a bitch from. We waited a year for the beatiful rough collie puppy bitch and she was well worth the wait as all our lines go back to her in one way or another....
We would like to thank Jack and Sandra Wigglesworth for their friendship in all the years that have passed since we bought our very first Rough Collie Bitch from them.
So the Glenbowdene
Rough Collies story still goes on!
